So, Pelosi says that Newt will NEVER be president because 'she knows something'...
Really?! So that means that she really and truly doesn't give a shit about America since a real American would bring that up right away so any truly unsuitable candidates would not be put forward in a contest for President. She only cares about her party. I hope she burns in HELL for such unloyalty to her county.
I sometimes wonder what my life would be like without the internet... I might have to actually work.
After 2 days of rain my property is like a swamp... literally. At least 4 inches.
Tonight I am doing some more editing of a SOPA opinion Vlog that Chris and I shot. I hope it doesn't turn out as boring as it looks like it's going to be.

Ok, this is taking things too far... in Illinois you now have to sign a log and present a photo ID when buying... wait for it... drain cleaner (and other 'caustic' chemicals). Yeah, like when you buy Codeine here in Texas...

We ordered new carpet for the house this last week... just a day before we learned that our out of town guests won't be able to come for Christmas. Bummer.
I have been entereing all these 'satisfaction surveys' you get on receipts in the last few days... we will see...
I can buy $20 worth of scratch offs and not get a single dollar so I am not holding my breath.
This weekend I worked on my mom's rent house with my father in law to help with electrical stuff. Man that house was jacked up (electrical wise).
It's snowing pretty heavily outside now but it isn't supposed to get down to freezing so I should be ok come going home time.

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is ONE BIG COMMERCIAL. You know there has to be a lot of lawyers and contracts to get this on TV. Many times they just totally skip the actual parade to go show some BS concert piece or some cooking tip segment.
I am guessing that only about 30% of the parade is actaully on the show.
How can someone get away from all the advertising that saturate our every waking hour? So long TV.
We traveled to Granite Shoals for Thanksgiving the day before Thursday... bad idea! Solid traffic 60% of the way.
People who go shopping at 4am on Friday should seek help... seriously.

Apparently the rumor is that Long John Silvers is going next to Taco Casa here in Decatur. Woot!
Being a fair weather sports fan it makes no difference to me if they won or lost. I have books to read and games to play.
Bevis and Butthead is back on TV and it fantastic! Finally something worthwile on MTV.
The 'fist lady' is angry... she can't understand why EVERYONE isn't just laying over and doing exactly what her husband wants. Talk about out of touch.
We went to Winstar for Halloween. I think we were the youngest ones there.

My favorite time of year...
My little group: According To Whim was presented with another award from Hangman's House of Horrors for our charitable contributions this weekend.
I had the hardest time getting into Fort Worth to the ceremony. An Air Show had just ended so 35 was clogged AND all the back streets in West Fort Worth were packed because everyone was headed out to bars for the World Series.
Let's not kid ourselves... it's all about the booze.
Of course the Rangers lost but that's no skin off my nose I don't care about sports.
I will admit it is good for the local economy. I'm sure Texas gets a huge boost from all the booze sold.

Went to a Duran Duran concert on Thursday. It was awesome.
Went to Star Wars Fan Days in Irving this weekend. Another convention selling dissapointment. I am writing 3 blogs about it that I will post this week on mine and Chris' other blog.
On to other things... I have noticed that Herman Cain is getting a lot of positive press lately even though he doesn't seem to have any real political experience. Something smells fishy.
I got a feeling the media is pushing someone who can be easily beaten in the general election.

This weekend is the next comic convention. I will be setting up there again. I'm looking to raise money for a paint job for the VW... or new carpet in the house... or a new carport fot he house... IDK.
The President was in Dallas the other day. Was he here to work on the mess he has helped create in the economy? No. He was here raising campaign funds. Really? Your world is burning down around your ears and you wasting time trying to be king again when all that will be left is rubble.

Yeah, I haven't had much to say lately...
I remember when Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith came out at that whole scene Lucas wrote where the Senate gladly gave Palpatine all power, that he was taking a jab at Bush...
This week some Democrat lame-brain said we need less democracy to stop the gridlock... seems like Lucas had the scene right... just for the wrong party.
The house painting has slowed a lot but the trim stuff has gone real fast. I am trying to get the paint sprayer working again to finish up stuff.
The porch railings are the real beating when it comes to painting.
I went ahead and bought an HE washer and a dryer. It takes a lot of getting used to.
We are keeping the inlaw's weenie-dog this week... reminds me why I like cats better.
This week I am going to 'close up' the pool. Too cold now.

I took the leap and bought a new truck. I traded in my faithful old pickup for a F150. I hope it lasts longer than the last one.
It seems VERY large.
I saw that Subway is at it again... they feel the need to make you feel bad about what you eat in order to drum up business.
Our backup washer (the old one died months back) is on the fritz too. I think it's time to shop for a new one. I am guessing we will probably be getting one of those HE ones.
I have officially finished the roller-parts of painting the house. It's on to the trim now.

The wife had gallbladder surgery last week. Surgery sucks but she is fine.
Done caulking the house, now I am painting all the fiddly bits before I do the roller stuff.

I entered a video contest for a company we do business with at work... seems kinds fishy that I haven't heard anything about it (Friday they are supposed to annouce winners). Did I mention only 4 videos were entered... My video was the only one someone else (not the company putting the contest on) made.

People who are vegetarian (and who don't need to be) are pompous.
I saw the movie Paul. I love Nick Frost and Simon Peg. I CANNOT STAND Seth Rogan. Every time he opens his mouth it's about pot. Pot, pot, pot. Simon and Nick, leave the writing to your buddy Edgar.
I loved Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead. If you can get ahold if it watch Spaced, it's a British comedy staring them (and written by Edgar Wright).
I have emptied 12, (count them!) 12 tubes of caulking on the house so far (in preparation for painting). I think I still have about 4 or more to go. Sheesh.
Ford has 5,000 cash back on 2011 Rangers going on right now... I'm tempted...
I saw Captain America this weekend at Fossil Creek... that place is a beating. Movies now a days is a beating. Do you realize that you sit though like 30 minutes of commercials before the movie actually starts?
BTW it was a pretty good movie. I have to see Thor before The Avengers comes out.
There will never be an Avengers West Coast movie. Captain America and The Human Torch (from Fantastic 4) is the same actor. I guess Johnny could just be in 'flame out' mode all the time so you can't see who he is.
From the preview pics of The Hulk for The Avengers it's not Edward Norton playing Bruce Banner... everything was going so well...
The movie people finally got it right. They made a movie (The Avengers) which guarantees that people went to see the previous setup movies (Thor, Iron Man, etc).
The previews of Spider Man look... not so great. Emo Spiderman. Why are they rebooting this series so soon?

Why are the left so afraid of the 'Tea Party'? Maxine waters said they can 'go to hell' and the Vice President said they were terrorist... What's WRONG with wanting a just and financially stable nation?
I am worried that one of the 'unelectibles' will be put in the race as the Republican candidate. Please no Sarah Palin. She might have some good ideas, but she is too much of a lightening rod.

What imaginary world does the President live in?
His administration and his croonies are blaming the tea party for the financial crisis...

I haven't ventured outside in about 5 days now.
Well, I'm glad to see that 'change' we were promised... too bad it such shitty change.
I wonder how the President feels about this 'downgrading of the US'. I have to wonder if this is a victory in his mind (to bring the US down more to the level of other countries).
I got some more work down at the rent house. I used a paint sprayer/auto roller. Too much trouble (cleanup). I'll just stick to the old fashioned roller.
I saw the biggest jack rabbit last night while driving home. It was bigger than our biggest cat.
Our biggest cat is BIG.
A huge stretch of highway was burnt black (coming into Decatur). It must have been a pretty big fire.
I wonder what happened to the Casa Torres expansion. It seems such a shame that they demolished that house and THEN people objected to them expanding the restaurant.

I am sealing all the cracks in the house (one tube of caulking at a time) each day after the sun goes down. I am planning on painting in the not too distant future.
It's too hot to do anything before the sun goes down.
I can't imagine putting kids out in this heat for 'sports training'.
I am currently watching The Two Towers Bluray on my makeshift screen. It's a fun diversion.
Last year (or the year before) I really got into Madness. What a fun band. Its nice to have a band who doesn't take themselves so seriously when all these bands nowadays are trying SO hard to look miserable and interesting.

Apparently the fat cats of the Senate are approaching a 'middle of the road' deal on the budget... that means tax raises (along with some cuts).
Many of the deals are long term cuts... long term... really...
Why can't they get it through their heads that you need to cut expenses NOW, otherwise you are just putting ALL OF THIS OFF UNTIL NEXT BUDGET.
This will keep happening until someone has the BALLS to be unpopular and make some serious cuts.
Think like we do... owe too much??? Cut back.
This is so frustrating. I think it will only give more life to the tea party movement.

I went ahead and bought the VW I've been mulling over (on and off) for the last month. The sellers couldn't find anyone to buy it and offered to have me pay out the balance over time.

Walmart is so ass-backwards right now...
I have a problem spelling certian words no matter how many times I write them. A couple are: handle and resturaunt. (I left them as I spelled them).
I am tiring of the non-stop oven outside. Ready for some rain.
The gutter people still haven't come. That was ok with me since I needed to get some stuff ready for their arrival (painting and replacing of trim).

I spent $600 at Lowes yesterday buying a lot of wood for fix stuff around the house. I also got some tools, water hoses, and concrete. Time to work.
Those commercials for that car the 'ninja' are so retarded. They are so blatantly geared toward young girls and awkard teen boys.
It seems to me that a large portion of women who come to the gym downstairs ONLY come to dump their kids at the daycare so they can have some freedom. I doubt working out is their main goal.
Huge Marketing failure yesterday at work when the new PET scanner failed to show up. All the marketing people standing outside in the 102 degree heat for an hour... priceless.
Chris and Miguel came over yesterday and we shot some pickups for the show.
After that I worked on trim around the house. Today I will be painting.

The Fort Worth Library thought it was a good idea to make people check out media inside the media room. So you NOW have to stand in 2 lines at the library... way to go government!
Northpark mall is a beat down... too many people.
Saw Super 8 this weekend. I think it was JJ Abram's attempt to remake ET.
I wrote a long post about the economy and the nation's debt issue. You can read it but it basically comes down to this: if YOU have debt you need to rid of, YOU cut back, right? Why can't the government do the same?
We are getting gutters this week. I need to so some 'pre gutter work' before hand. I am guessing I will be doing this at dusk since it's FREAKNIG HOT.

I spent my 4th (daytime atleast) at work catching up on school (and passing my final by answering all but one question right).
I also moved my office.
This weekend I spent Sat and Sun at the rent house working. Lots more to do still.
The electricity there scares me. I am in need of an electrican that's free.
I don't think those exist.
Floated in the pool and watched the fireworks. Been doing this for 4 years now... I think I'm done with it.

The 4th of July is on a Monday... I bet people hate that.
I am looking at doing a lot of work aronud the house (in relation to decks and other wood items).
The sign for CVS is up in Decatur... Walmart is shaking in their boots. I don't know why but they are.
School is going well. It's pretty lame though.
Maybe I should have been a career student or maybe a Senator, they make 174,000 a year!

School.... snooze.
The insurance adjuster came out and cut us a check for the storm damage, now to get repairs done for as cheaply as possible.
I am going to use the remaining funds to put gutters on the house.
I pre-ordered Lord of the Rings extended edition on Blu-Ray (it comes out on the 28th).
It is touted (by reviewers) as the 'best blu-ray ever produced'!!!
It breaks my 'don't pay more than 9.99 for a blu-ray' rule but what do you expect?
I went to the Texas Comicon in San Antonio this weekend. Didn't do too bad (but not too good either).

We had rain the last 2 nights! And BAD winds. I went ahead (after a day of consideration) called insurance.
I played a baby abductor at work yesterday in a code pink drill. I wasn't able to make it out of the building. The staff did a good job.
My truck keeps eating up all it's oil and I don't know how or why. Methinks it might be getting time to trade up...

I spent a fair amount of time in the pool this weekend. The only way to be outside for any length of time.

I think the who new (new as in 71 VW Beetle) car thing fell through. I just can't see me spending money right now...
Next weekend I have a convention in San Antonio (that I have talked about) and everything seems OK now.
Work is starting to annoy me in general.
School is a bummer.
I've Diablo'd my self out. It's time to move on to a new game.
Yesterday I met Chris and Miguel in Fort Worth for some Season 2 re-filming. We got quite a bit done and made some people very annoyed. They tried to chuck us out of the Water Gardens but no... you can't kick us out for filming a not for profit video. Try again losers.

This is a huge box... you could fit a smaller person in side... what you see inside is ALL that came in it.

The Decatur Walmart is getting a remodel. I am 80% sure its because of the CVS that's about to open.
The Burleson Walmart got a remodel when the HEB was about to open too.
I am trying to worm my way into the Las Vegas Siemens conference this August... I don't know if work will bite though.

I had to start school this week. I tested out of the first course but have to take the other 2. Its for the the HITECH medical informatics program. Basically IT in the healthcare field.

We are having a poker party at the house tonight.

Went to work for most of the day Monday then home for some swimming, barbeque, and a little yard work.
I got my new tape deck in my truck... so happy about that. You know how hard it is to find those now a days. It seems Pyle is the only people making them and they are sucky. I found a NOS Sony on Ebay.
I have another convention at the end of the month in San Antonio. I hope its as big as the Dallas Comicon.

Why do people that loose weight become douche bags? I just saw this weight watchers commercial and I was like... man.
The one time a tornado hits right down the street and I am on the other side of the state!
We usually take vacation in Port Aransas but this year the service at every restraunt has REALLY sucked.
We spent half the day at St. Jo's island where I only managed to metal detect an old Sprite can.
I think a Drive-In movie theater would work great down there.
I drove around Corpus and discovered a lot I didn't know existed.

I got all the weedeating and puch mowing on the yeard done this weekend! Woo hoo! All I have left is the riding lawnmower part.
I went Hangman's this weekend to get some video of the constuction and decorating of the house. We also talked to the owner about the upcoming documentary we are going to do with her.
She talked me into doing some work for the A Wish With Wings charity.
I'm a sucker for charity work.

I finished my lean-to (see below).
The 2nd picture below is my bit of advertising that is on the roof of the lean-to.
The roof is made of pressboard that I heavily painted so I don't know how long it will last. I might have to put some metal on there before too long.

I have my new lean-to for the lawnmowers. I put a little bit of advertising on the roof... more to come...

Today is Star Wars Day. Happy Star Wars Day!
There are 2 phrases/words that I have picked up from programmers over they years I have worked in IT... one is 'fat fingering' (that's where you mistype a password) and the other is calling the '*' character a splat (not an asterisk).
I got some furniture that was handed down to me in place yesterday and turned a china cabinet into a nifty book case. It looks great!
I have signed up for the HITECH Program at Midland University in the Government mandated 'Hospital Meaningful Use' training. It's a bunch of new Governemnt regs in the electronic transfer of patient data across the US. And no, this was pre-Obama.The refund I will get for the education is Obama however.
I have one point about the whole: Obama gives the order to kill (rathern than capture) Osama. Where are all the demonstators? If this had happened under Bush's term there would be people screaming for him to be tried for murder (or in the least authorizing it). Where is the UN's war crimes tribunal? The man admitted he ordered the death of Osama...

I saw this Titan Toys in Ridgmar Mall this last weekend. That store is super crappy. It's like something from Trader's Village.

Yesterday's weather was miserable. I am hoping for a warm up today.

Fast Five was the first movie... man is that movie full of crap! It's so full of plot contrivances its not even funny.
The movie is indicative of almost every Hollywood movie out there nowadays... plans and events happen so perfectly and with such precision that it is is completely unbelievable.
Saw someone throw trash out of their car at a stop light on Hulen this weekend. I CANNOT stand that. It lets me know that that person has respect for NOTHING.

Chris finally came over last night (its been like 2 months!).
We played several games of NetRunner. We had to get our fix.
He also brought my truck back. My little white wonder on wooden wagon wheels!
I enjoyed driving his similar model Ranger (it had suff like cruise control and power everything) but I am happy to be back in my truck (with power nothing).
I've spent 1,500 to keep this one going so I better get another year out of it at least.
I am thinking of buying a 2011 when they get cheaper with the 2012's come out... unless the economy sinks and we are living on each other's corpses.

After hearing the bad economy news yesterday it seems the crafty White House planned the whole birth certificate reveal to move attention away from the fall of the US economy and Donald Trump was the patsy.

Ready for another day of tornados... bring them on!
I had some 'dry milk' last night. We prepared it the day before and let it sit in the fridge to get cold. I was nervous but it tatstes just like regular milk. The wife says it has a bit of an aftertaste but I don't know... it would do in a pinch.
In a story about Donald Trump and his 'presidential aspirations' USA Today did a poll and only 38% polled thought Obama was born in the US. Once again, why not reveal it and shut the naysayers up.
I don't think Donald Trump has any intention of running for President. I think he is being devil's advocate and drawing attention to all these issues conservatives haven't had a voice about.

I finally got electricity down to my shed yesterday with the help of my Father in law. That turned out to be a big pain the in but but it works now!
Electrical wire is VERY expensive (the copper inside it). I did find a roll that was a hundred dollars cheaper (because it was round and not the flat kind).
I thought we were gonna get a tornado yesterday in New Fairview... no dice.
We had a fairly simple Easter lunch. It was very good.
The older I get the better simpler holiday meals appeal to me.

Went to the Dallas Zoo yesterday via the TRE and DART. Panhandled no less than twice. I love Dallas!
The TRE has an all day pass and it's pretty nice to ride. You could ride it all day and write or something like that the whole time without being bothered (too much).
I have finally been to the Dallas Zoo... verdict... FW Zoo is better.
Nothing better than a zoo to keep you from having kids.
On other notes. Apple was named one of the 'least green' companies... guess who is on their board of directors... Al Gore. Te he he.
Silver is going so high! I just don't know what's going on now. I have been selling it on EBay. That is where you can sell it and make more than silver's spot price.

Why did the President get a $12,000 tax refund? Shouldn't he automatically give that money back to the government?
Have you ever used Hughes Net? Man that sucks! I did a speed test at my moms and it was 380 kpbs... DSL is 1,500 (at minimum) and dialup is 52 kpbs. So it's better than dialup and worse than DSL (but costs like 60 bucks a month)!

Ate at South Beach Taco yesterday. It was pretty good. Definitely not Tex-Mex but it was good.
The wife says it is like Fuzzy's Tacos.
I forgot to mention I saw that bad flip wreck last week outside the Autozone. The flipped truck must have been turning when it was hit to make it do that.

Stay away from this brand of Egg Roll. It is totally phony! It looks like a wrapped Egg Roll but but it isn't, it's just molded to look like the shape of an Egg Roll! Also when you microwave them, you set them out to cool and it actually gets CRISPY while it cools. No telling what chemicals are in it!

We stopped by WinStar and I up at some point but lost it all. I almost left where I started.

They are doing inventory at Walmart now. There is a glut of managers standing around doing nothing.
I have made some big purchases at Walmart here in Decatur for the hospital. I usually have the dept manager help me with these 15+ thousand dollar purchases and they don't seem to give a crap. I am guessing its just another case of megastore 'don't care'.
If I had been at Fry's I would have been treated like a king.
I have been noticing a lot of thunderstorm activity around our house at night but nothing ever happens. We need some more rain.

This weekend we went to the Exotic Resort Zoo in Johnson City near Marble Falls (West of Austin) this weekend. Meh, it was ok.

I'd love to live down in the hill country I just don't know if I could live near all the wanna-be San Francisco people near Austin.

For 4 people to eat at the Bluebonnett Cafe in Marble Falls it was $25.00! Now thats a deal!

I got the PVC run down to the shed and got the trench filled back in. Now I need to run the electrical through it.

There was a segment on Sunday Morning on CBS where a black reporter was talknig about the racist college student who posted a video on Asians at her college. The reporter seemed totally shocked that someone dared not be like everyone else and politically perfect. This whole segement was bashing her. Really? Isn't there something more useful you could have reported on than your distan for some white racist bimbo?

I had some Ebay buyer troubles this last week. You ahve to watch out for people who have 0 feedback. They don't know how Ebay works...
I called their customer service (which I guess is in India). I got my issue resolved.
With my model business I do ALOT of shipping at the post office.
When I had my comic books store in 2002 I did $14,000 worth of shipping with them!

The Radio Shack here in Decatur sucks. We really need a proper electroincs store in this town.
The AT&T wireless store (Wise Wireless) attached to the Radio Shack sucks too. I got a phone line added there and the had me sign a 2 year contact even though I brought my own equipment in. After dealing with AT&T on the phone about it for a while they called and informed the store they were doing it wrong. They claimed they have always been (ripping off) doing it that way.
Now I have to drive 60 miles to go to a company owned store to fix the issue.

I read that the average Wisconsin teacher makes $100,000 a year... Those guys need to STFU and deal with it!
Many are happy just to have a job right now.
Their greed is shining through. They preach to us that we need to take care of them like they take care of our kids but what happens when their $$$ is threatened... they cut class and leave the kids up the creek (and the family that have to stay home and watch them).
I think this represents one of the biggest problems with our government today. I heard on NPR that the average government worker makes 2 to 3 times what their private sector counterpart makes.
Now I am not waving the flag of socialism but I think AT LEAST government jobs need to be in line with private sector ones.

I set up at the Sci-Fi convention this weekend in Plano (for a 3rd time). Still no real luck.
No toll booths on the George Bush Turnpike is so nice.
I just finished the book 1776, did you know that George Washington was basically given dictatorial powers for about 6 months in late 1776. This is the only time this has ever happened in the US. The continental congress did this to help him do whatever to win the war.
Also, did you know that although 1776 was the 'birth of the US' the war didn't actually end until 1883?
Speaking of long time periods you didn't know about... it wasn't until 10 years later the the US retaliated on the Japanese (for Pearl Harbor) with the atom bomb? The movies make it seem like it happened the next day or something.
The wife and I ate the Chinese Buffet in Decatur last night. There was this group of young (20's) rednecks that should have been taken out in back and beaten for their general bad behaviour.

My super tough Tundra phone broke and I can't upgrade until March. I went to Walmart and bought a $15 go phone to last me.

Is George Lopez a bigot? I have seen both of his HBO specials and only about 1/2 of each show is funny, the rest of the time he is bashing white people. If a politician did this they would probably be in jail... funny what people put up with.

The toy show that I was to set up a booth at canceled today. The email said it was due to low dealer turnout. I asked for a refund and I marked all the other 6 off my calendar.

One of my 2011 goals is to play all of my board games at least once. I have about 100 of them (if you include the dice games). I am about 6 down so far.

So people are getting bent out of shape that DC Comic's Batman has picked a Muslim French dude to be his Crime Fighter in France. Hello?!?!?! This is a comic book. I'm not sure who to gripe at more, the writers for trying to make it too real or the fans/opponents who need to realize its a freaking comic book.
There was a Alpha male cat battle outside last night. The old wild cat is out and a new one is now the master. This new one is better because he will let you pet him (I guess he is not that wild).
My camera is goofed up and I can't export the video out. I will need to send it in for repairs I guess.
This coming weekend is the toy show in Dallas I am setting up at. I hope I sell something.
Have I ever told you EBay is a rip off? Sellers get triple dipped. They pay for inserting auctions, then they get a percent of the final price, then they get part of the payment because of PayPal (which EBay owns). For Selling a thirty dollar item I wind up paying about four dollars. When my profit is less than double that its hardly worth it.

I've seen 2 accidents involving 18-wheelers this week alone (Decatur and Fort Worth). In both, at least one of the 18-wheelers was on it's side.

Stocked up on Walmart 75% off Christmas stuff for next year. Those are the prices that stuff should be in the first place!
I have been working on recovering our public access show's season 2 (that I lost last year due to hard drive failure).
Some of the footage was totally lost (and will need to be reshot)... that sucks.
I have now reloaded XP on both my PC at home and at work. Windows 7 is fine its just that all my programs have issues with 7, so I will stick with XP for now.
Miguel and I have finished both our commercials for the Haunted House. They will be opened for 3 days during the Superbowl.

I finally saw Tron... in 3D and Imax.
The verdict is in... I can do without 3D.
I am starting up a business again selling Anime models. Maybe this time it will work.
I will NOT be opening up a shop however.
Tuesday James, Chris, and Loren came over for a game day. We played The New Dungeon, Carcassone, and Skull And Sword. Before the others got there James and I played Carcassone Castle.

I was on call for work last week... hence no posts cause I was too exhausted with lack of sleep. Oh well, it paid the mortgage for next month.
I hit a dear heading into work Saturday night (I was heading into work, not the dear).
I tagged it's rear so I don't know if I killed it right away or if it died later or is just limping.
I feel bad about it.
I have been organizing my PC files. I think I will 'downgrade' to XP. I have too many programs that don't work right on Windows 7.
I remember having 'upgrade issues' when I had to move to Windows 95 from Windows 3.11.
At some point I will 'just need to let go'.
I swear EVERYONE has to be out shopping all day everyday during the month of December.
We are heading out to Colorado to visit family for Christmas on Wednesday. 12 Hours of fun driving... NOT.
The ONLY thing I dread about it is icy road conditions.
I watched District 9 and I really liked it (I didn't think I would).
I am now watching The Last Airbender.
I consider myself an Airbender (after one too many Taco Bell bean burritos).

I have ordered Darth Vader's FX Ligthsaber with removable blade from Entertainment Earth. I can't wait to get it.
My job is being extra stingy this year with Christmas bonuses. Really stingy! From 350+ dollars last year to... wait for it... 50 dollars this year. 35 dollars after tax... sheesh.
I STILL can't complain. One year I got 7 dollars from Kmart.
I get so envious when I hear of companies giving their employees 1,000 or more bucks for a Christmas bonus.
Time is approaching for 2011 yearly goals to be set. I think I have some big ones coming this year.
I ordered Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 on Bluray for myself for Christmas. There is something about them that I really like.
We are having a Unitedway drawing for a 47" TV today. After my tough lesson learned several years back... I will not be spending any more than 1 dollar on this drawing.

Is it just me or do young guys who wear hats like this just come across as automatic douche bags?
I finally got to watch Iron Man 2 last night. Man that movie is so full of holes. Here is a big one... Black Widow (the Shield Agent) gets into the bad guy's PC and 'reboots' Rhodes suit... why couldn't she have simply turned off all the drones while she was at it???
What's nicer than getting an award for your production business??? Getting one in the mail yesterday that had your name on it.
I am trying out Ubuntu Linux on an extra PC at my desk at work. It runs so much smoother that Windows... too bad it doesn't support everything Windows does.
I better keep quiet, it administration hears about a free OS, I will be installing it on all 900 PCs here...
Chris came over last week (for the first time in for forever) and we discussed goals and such. It's that time again... have to stay on top of them this time.

I'm looking but I don't see any Cyber Monday deals that are all that great.
I just finished Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke and just started their 2nd movie. I haven't seen so many VW Beetles on film in my life.

I signed up for an account at Xtranormal (the place that video above is from) a while back but couldn't think of a funny script to write for it.
Went to Durant to the Choctaw casino and didn't see what the big deal was. I lost my money just as fast as I do at WinStar. However... they do have 'let it ride' on the gaming tables. That's cool.
I got my MAME arcade machine back up and running yesterday.
I had a burger from the Wendy's in Decatur (finally). The meat on the hamburger wasn't as good as other Wendy's. I guess the employees need a little more time to figure out the best way to cook them. I noticed they weren't as squished as other Wendy's. Maybe that's the trick.

Went to the in-laws this weekend.
Visited Longhorn Caverns for the 2nd time. You know what, once you go to a particular cavern once, you have done it. No reason to do it again.
Ate breakfast at Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls. I have never seen what the big deal is with it. Its good and all but...
I'm on call this week, it's been 3 years... not looking forward to it.

I'm off tomorrow... it's my bday! Spending the day alone at home.
Work is getting very stressful (too much of it).
I am about 60% done fixing up the shed in the back. It is looking good.
Some investment company offered my mom some BIG BUCK$ for her mineral rights.
Not worth it in the long run.
Mineral rights are the gift that keeps on giving (to you and your ancestors).
Until the government confiscates them.
Saw the story about the 2 girls getting run over on 380... that highway is a DEATH TRAP.

The price of silver has been climbing like mad! I wish I had bought more last year when I was buying it.
I have been working in my shed, organizing and getting it back into shape after the move. I can actually walk in there now.
I watched the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen last night. It was based on an Alan Moore comic book. I bet that was good.
For all the hoop-la about Wendy's in Decatur I have yet to actually go there.

Daylight savings time ends Sunday. I hate it! Hate it! Hate it! Hate it!
It's almost dark before I even get home at 5:30!
This means ALL yard work should be finished before Sunday.
If it stays cool enough the yard won't grow anymore for the year.

I am all moved back but not everything is back in it's place yet.

Is it just me or does comedy central mock America constantly?
Their Washington 'non-political' event is about as transparently liberal as you can get.
Didn't do anything for Halloween again. This was a big disappointing year (at least I got to mess with Hangman's House of Horrors).
I did watch Nightmare Before Christmas and Dracula.
I have a bunch of ideas for Hangman's (design wise). D'Ann (the owner) is very approachable so maybe I can suggest them to her.
I knew my years of Disney's Haunted Mansion obsession would pay off!
Spent the entire weekend at home. Only went to the corner store once.

Tried to move the rest of our house on Saturday = massive bad weather.
Lost a lawnchair on 287 @ 70MPH = Semi drove over it.
Time to unpack.
Went into Jack in the Box (while trying to move) and just as I am about to open my mouth to order the power goes out... typical.
Saturday evening it cleared up and I was presented with a certificate of recognition at Hangman's House of Horrors for charity work.
Totally missed the chance to get Rebecca Miller to sign my Cyberpunk CCG card of her (it is actually about her).
She is very short in person.
Filmed the 'Thrill the World' event.

I am in a VERY bad mood today.
I detest the 'lettuce heads' that come and go at the gym where I work.
Too bad I have to use that entrance to come to work.
What is the point of getting an egg white omlet if you are just going to load it up with other junk?
Those people irritate me.
Their addiction to excersise is just as bad an addiction as mine is to food.
ANYWAY.... happy thoughts.
Had to haul the cats back one at a time to the house (an hour drive) crying all the way.
I am listening to Hannibal Rising in the truck at the moment. I am enjoying it.
Space is running out in the shed. I need just a bit more room...
When I think hard about it I *think* that about 50% of the time my order at a fast food drive throughs are wrong (in some way).
Nothing will ruin your 'on the go' meal than missing that sauce for your nuggets.
Nothing will ruin your 'on the go' meal MORE than getting Diet Coke instead of Coke.

I finished Black Adder 1 last night. It's gets a lot of crap but it is funny.
Noticed the Wendy's is open but no big grand opening event (yet).
There is a skunk under the house... I can smell it. Yuck.
Gonna have to trap it.
I will be so glad when I get the skirting on the house replaced.
Doing a lot of moving this week. One truck load a day then Sunday the big stuff.
Have to get all the utilities transferred back. That will be a pain.

I shall say once more... this last week was the WORST for bad drivers. People need to chill the F out.
Work is getting stressful for no good reason.
We had a garage sale on Saturday. Brought in about 300.00. Didn't sell nearly as much as I had hoped for.
Packed the rest up for some other time.
I could probably make 2x or 3x more if I spent the time to put it on Ebay.
Chris wants us to focus on selling stuff on Ebay...
Yuck. It takes soooooooo much time for so little profit to do that.
Plus Ebay triple dips on you. You pay to list the item, you pay when it sells, and you pay a fee on Paypal payment (which is almost the only way people can pay anymore).

This week has been 'the drivers from hell' week. People have been behaving so badly recently.
Do you remember that really old Goofy cartoon where he changes into an evil thug when he gets behind the wheel? Those were some great cartoons. Here it is!
I am having a garage sale on Saturday. I dread 'early bird' shoppers. Wish I could just put it all outside during then night.
I have discovered my wife has just as much junk as I do... just in boxes, not spread throughout the house.

My free time seems so little. I am always doing something.
The imaging center at work flooded out last night, I know how they feel.
The insurance company paid off the car (the current value) but the bank has yet to remove the 4,500 balance (cause i have GAP insurance). I hope they don't try to get out of it or I have to make an October payment (since I have a payment due on the new car too).
I didn't even notice a Family Dollar go in where Weatherford college was in Decatur. I never shop there so it was no big thing.
The Candlewood suites is about 50% done. It's off Eagle drive behind the hospital. I can't imagine them doing ANY business (unless it's hospital business).
There are so many hotels in Decatur as it is I don't see how any of them stay in business.

I see the president is doing something he is really good at... campaigning.
I see he is still blaming others for the economy.
The Decatur Wendy's sign is up... mouth watering...
Some survey of top chefs asked where they ate when they ate fast food, they said Wendy's.
I am guessing all the Decatur road work is apart of the 'spend your children's future' government campaign.
At this point in the game don't they have enough proof that government spending lots (I am mean LOTS) of money will not recover a faltering economy???
How much proof are they going to need?
They will never admit it. That's what democrats are all about, spending.
Well, the mower died again. I don't think I will fix it this time. RIP.
The people who mow my yard cut it high so I have to call them out more often. Forget that!
I am going to interview the marketing person for Hangman's haunted house in Fort Worth on Friday night for the show.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! Fall is finally here! I bet next week will be a scorcher.
Time to close up the pool.
My new raid array fouled up and had to rebuild one of the drives. I don't know why.
Is Garden Ridge having financial issues? That store is just not what it used to be.
I have put insulation on the bedroom windows to keep out the light so the wife can sleep (she works nights).
Getting irritated at my job (at coworkers).

The mower's new starter wouldn't work so I put the old one back on and got it to run!
There is some sort of compression problem so in order to start the mower I have to remove the sparkplug and drain all that gas first.
I-35 from downtown Fort Worth to 820 (North) is a nightmare. When are they going to expand it?
Remeber that it took 10 years to finish the downtown mixmaster?
I better not hold my breath.Am I the only one annoyed that teens do NOTHING except text and they do it CONSTANTLY?!
The wife got her Kindle in... I'll give it a month then it will be mine!! Mwahahahah!

Democrats are playing the 'tea party' kook card and playing it HARD.
I moved out of my storage place this weekend. That saves 160 bucks a month.
I have a lot of crap. I need to have a big garage sale.
Last week was the 'week from hell' (as far as IT goes). It was bad.
I am getting the itch for more MASH. Even though what happened to me last time.
We had 3 showings at the house this weekend. Haven't heard a peep. I wish I knew what was turning people off of it. It's more than $20,000 less than it's value!
I noticed the Halloween sections at stores are VERY small this year. Yeah economy!
